Noble by birth? An anachronism.

பிரபுக்கள் அவைஅங்கே  நீதி சொல்ல‌
பெரும்புள்ளி அறிஞர்கள் சட்ட மேதை
குறைவற்ற குழுஇயங்கிக் கொண்டி ருந்தார்
கோதிதிலே யாதெனவே கூர்ந்து நோக்கின்
பிரிவுற்ற கிளைகளென ஆட்சி வேண்டும்
பேச்சவைக்குள் நீதித்துறை ஆகா தென்றார் 
அறிவுற்றார் அதுவொன்றும் குற்றம் இல்லை
பிரபுவென்றும் பிறரென்றும் கூறும் வெட்கம்!

பொருள் :

பிரபுக்கள் அவை  House of Lords in UK.

 நீதி சொல்ல‌  to give judgements  ( on appeals:)

கோதிதிலே   குற்றம் இதிலே.;   defects in this constitutional arrangement.

பிரிவுற்ற கிளைகளென ஆட்சி வேண்டும்  refers to the doctrine of Separation of Powers in government.

பேச்சவைக்குள் நீதித்துறை ஆகா தென்றார்  A judicial wing in a debating chamber is not desirable;  it does not accord with modern governmental systems.

பிறர் - this refers to people of non-noble birth.
