Another interesting point:
When Nehru was just a freedom fighter (so to speak), he had
written that much of the territory that China is now claiming was Chinese territory appropriated by the British and these should be returned to China. He later became PM of India and was not able to act on what he wrote. This has been adverted to by the then Chinese PM Chou En-Lai. in his book. I had this book but it is not available now.
Chou then thought that Nehru could not be trusted, obviously.
If I am able to get the book or find similar material in the Internet I will post it for our readers.
Query: Why write on something of which he was not sure? Obviously his cabinet or others in his company did not support his unnecessary writings. Things would have been better for India had he not been the PM. - on this point.
