மேற்கண்ட  (முன்) இடுகையிலிருந்து தொடர்கிறோம். ]

நாளடைவில்  சக்கு என்பது சக்கு  நீராட்டுதலைக் குறித்தது  ஆகுபெயர்.

சக்கிலியர் அரசாண்டதாகவும் கதை இருக்கிறது.  அவர்களில் ஒருவர்  3 மணி நேரமே  கொலு வீற்றிருந்தார் என்றும் பின் பதவி  துறந்தார் என்றும் கூறுவர்.

  இவர்கள் சாக்கிய முனியைப் பின்பற்றினர் என்றும்  ஆகையினால் இப்பெயர் பெற்றனர்  என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.
சாக்கியர்  >  சாக்கிலியர் >   சக்கிலியர்  என்று வந்தது  என்பர் போலும்.
இங்ஙனம் முடிவு  செய்வதாயின் சக்கிலி   என்பது முழுச்சொல்லின் திரிபு  என்றும்  இலி  என்பது  பின்னொட்டு அன்று என்றும்  கொள்ளவேண்டும்,

அவர்கள் தொழில் எப்போது  மேற்கொண்டனர் என்ற கேள்வியும் உள்ளது.
