பண்ணைத் தீட்டுவார்: வழக்கம்போல இது குறுகிப் பண் திட்டு என்று அமைந்து பண் திட்> பண்டிட் என்று குட்டைப் பட்டது.
ண் + திட் > டி ட் என்று தமிழ்ப் புணர்விலும் இவ்வாறே வரும்.
குறுகி அமைந்த சொற்களைக் காண்க:
வா> வந்தான். (வினைமுற்று)
தோண்டு > தொண்டை. ( தொ பெ).
பாட்டு என்பது bhat என்றும் குறுகும். பட் என்ற குறுக்கம் தொழில், தொழிலோனைக் குறிக்க அயலில் வரும்
பட்டப்பெயர்கள் பல தமிழினின்று போந்தன.
இவர்கள் பாணர் வழியினர். PaNars were puNN (song) composers of ancient times. Recently they existed in societies as teachers of ancient writings. Now they may be of any profession of reading and writing.
