M. SARAN ( Australia ).
We clean throughout the day
The mundanity of it kills me
I am standing there
Sometimes squatting
Sometimes bending
Sometimes crying
Man, am I bored!
Bored out of my soul
When I lather soap on my body
When I wipe myself clean
When I scrub the pan
When I vacuum the floor
When I floss my teeth
When I hang my clothes
When I write down my thoughts
All forms of it, takes so much god damn TIME!
Totally Insipid Management Exercises
A wonderful reason to be a sentient being
I wonder if cats feel the same when they lick themselves
Or when an elephant showers itself with its trunk
But I guess, their mundanity is existing itself
They don’t get to choose unique experiences
Like jumping off the plane
Surfing in the ocean
Traveling cities
Laughing with loved ones
Or the ability to create
There are many things in life that bores me,
especially cleaning
But I guess, it is worth it, for that tiny moments of love we share with others.
